Special Edition Update FAQS

Special Edition updates are being sent by email. If you haven’t seen them, please check your spam, promotions, or junk folder, and move my emails to your primary inbox so you don’t miss future updates.

The latest update:

* quick update - if you didn't see on IG I got the physical proofs! There are pics if you want to see! 
 

June 9th: All files, PDF proofs, and physical proofs have been approved, and the final production order has been placed with QinPrinting.

The payment/wire has been sent, and production will begin once QinPrinting receives the funds, which is expected to take about 6 business days. (This is a normal time for wires from US to China).

 

 After the funds are recieved it will take 4-6 weeks of production time and then 4-6 weeks to ship from China to us. The best guess (I'm no longer going to even try to guess this accurately, what an intense project! But, best guess is late summer with the information I currently have and if nothing changes. Again.)

Special Edition general FAQS

This is a one-time first edition Special Edition run. Unique ISBNs - the whole gambit.

(updated) Since I am waiting for physical proofs I can keep orders open until I receive it. After I approve physical proofs I will be placing the final order and then orders will be closed (about two weeks from may 28th)

If you want this edition, please order as soon as you’re ready. Once the remaining slots are claimed, there will not be another run of this exact Special Edition.

We did it. We made it. We conquered Amazon and all the algorithms and made all the lists with the cool kids and I've already lost my patience for the status quo and mainstream vibe so we are now transitioning to being sold exclusively on my site. We came. We conquered. We got out early. We got better parties to attend <3

(Any little goblins on here looking for updates on launch loot - don't you worry - Im not ordering your goodies from china, it didn't take me 100 hours and 100000 tears to create all the files (unlike the SE you are waiting on) so they are already being packed and will ship soon 😈)

Orders / Retailers

Special Edition is via my website only. Standard PHYSICAL editions will be sold via amazon exclusively for now. They were the best price on printed books for both of us! The ebook versions: All three Ebooks are now sold on my website. The keeper's codex remains exclusive to my website.

All formats

Currently, there are softcover standard editions and ebooks. In the future there will be audio books.

Future hardcovers/special editions

A future hardcover / special edition / signed Keeper’s Codex is already planned to come back.

In general, I listen very closely to my reader list. If my readers vote for future variations, special editions, signed options, collector’s editions, or anything similar — that is usually what we make happen.

So while each edition may have different availability, timing, or limits, the answer is yes: there will very likely be more special editions and reader-requested variations in the future. What the majority of my readers vote for - they get. 

Can I join the street team?

Probably! If you’re genuinely excited about the series, kind to other readers and yourself, and interested in helping support the launch, we’d love to hear from you.

Street team members help by sharing posts, leaving honest reviews, spreading the word, and generally being part of the chaos in the best possible way.

How to Read Your Ebook File

Option 1: Kindle / Kindle App

Easiest method: Send to Kindle

  1. Download the EPUB file from your order email or download page.

  2. Go to Amazon’s Send to Kindle page. 
    (https://www.amazon.com/sendtokindle)

  3. Sign in to the Amazon account connected to your Kindle or Kindle app.

  4. Upload the EPUB file.

  5. Choose the Kindle device or Kindle app you want to send it to.

  6. Wait a few minutes, then open your Kindle or Kindle app and sync your library.

Your book should appear in your Kindle library shortly.

Another method: Email it to your Kindle

  1. Find your personal Kindle email address in your Amazon account under Content & Devices.

  2. Attach the EPUB file to an email.

  3. Send it to your Kindle email address.

  4. Open your Kindle or Kindle app and sync your library.

Please make sure you are sending from an email address approved in your Amazon account.

Option 2: Apple Books

For iPhone, iPad, or Mac:

  1. Download the EPUB file to your device.

  2. Tap the file.

  3. Choose Share.

  4. Select Books or Open in Books.

  5. The ebook should open and save inside your Apple Books library.

If you do not see Apple Books as an option, save the file to your Files app first, then open it from there.

Option 3: Kobo

For a Kobo eReader:

  1. Download the EPUB file to your computer.

  2. Connect your Kobo eReader to your computer with a USB cable.

  3. Open the Kobo device folder when it appears.

  4. Drag and drop the EPUB file onto your Kobo.

  5. Safely eject your Kobo.

  6. The book should appear in your Kobo library after the device processes the file.

Some Kobo devices and apps also allow you to import EPUB files through Google Drive, Dropbox, Mail, or the Kobo app.

Option 4: Google Play Books

For Android or Google Play Books readers:

  1. Download the EPUB file.

  2. Open the Google Play Books app.

  3. Upload the EPUB file to your Play Books library.

  4. Once uploaded, the book should appear in your library and sync across devices connected to your Google account.

You can also email the EPUB file to yourself, tap the attachment, and choose to upload it to Play Books.

Option 5: Other Reading Apps

EPUB files also work with many other reading apps, including apps like:

  • ReadEra

  • Moon+ Reader

  • Adobe Digital Editions

  • PocketBook Reader

  • Calibre

To use one of these, download the EPUB file, open your reading app, and choose Import, Open File, or Add Book.

Having Trouble?

A few quick things to try:

  1. If using Kindle, use Amazon’s Send to Kindle option instead of trying to plug the file directly into your Kindle.

  2. If the book does not appear right away, sync or refresh your reading app.

  3. Try opening the file on a different device or app if your first method does not work.
